Dr. Avery C. Voos

My experience working with children and families has solidified my strong belief in the power of the relationship to support change and growth. I have learned the value of multiple approaches to intervention, so I am able to tailor treatment to the individual. Using this integrative, relational approach, I adapt evidence-based practices to meet clients and their families where they are, focusing on their unique strengths and areas of need. I am passionate about supporting children, parents and families in reaching their potential and in finding compassion for themselves and their experiences. I do so by providing individual, family and group therapy. I also conduct psychological assessment to support academic accommodations, assess for neurodevelopmental disorders, and identify an individual’s areas of strength and struggle.

With a background in community mental health, I have completed specialized training in working with children and families exposed to trauma and abuse. I am passionate about supporting clients toward overcoming --and even finding growth through-- adversity. I am also an expert in conducting assessment to identify the presence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and in providing effective interventions for individuals with ASD, as well as in providing support for their caregivers. Additionally, I am fluent in working with individuals struggling with Anxiety, Depression, relational or parenting challenges, and behavior difficulties.

Outside of my practice you will find me enjoying nature and exploring our beautiful State of California.
