Dr. Jocelyn R. Levitan

Obtaining my combined Ph.D. in Counseling, Clinical, and School psychology afforded a diverse and multi-disciplinary training experience. My background uniquely prepared me to utilize an integrated approach to treatment:  I am creative and collaborative in my therapeutic approach, adapting evidenced-based practices to meet the specific needs and strengths of each individual or family. In addition to providing psychotherapy to children, adults, groups, and families, I conduct full psychological assessments to assist in obtaining appropriate accommodations, to aid in comprehensive diagnosis, or to gain a better understanding of one’s strengths and weaknesses.

My specialization is working with children and families coping with trauma and adversity including family conflict, divorce, bullying, grief and loss, and child abuse. I have a deep appreciation for the need to foster resilience during the recovery process. In addition to working with victims of trauma, I am also passionate about helping clients struggling with other difficulties, such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, learning differences, parenting challenges, and relationship problems.

Outside of my practice, I serve as the co-chair of the Child & Adolescent Development Special Interest Group for the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association.
